Begin with your training
Use the procedure taught by your qualified instructor and the manuals for your specific equipment. This overview is not a complete checklist and does not replace practical training.
Follow a consistent sequence
Inspect the canopy and lines, harness connections, helmet, reserve handle and pins, and instrument setup according to the relevant manuals. Verify your total take-off weight is within the certified range. Recheck anything interrupted during preparation.
Look beyond the equipment
Assess wind and gusts, the launch area, traffic, airspace and landing options. A technically ready setup does not mean conditions are suitable. Stop and seek qualified assistance if anything is uncertain.
